What happened to your hair?

Most brands sell you a goal — longer, thicker, fuller. We start somewhere else: with what you've actually been through. Find yours.

01

After the baby

The shed usually starts around month three and it is not in your head. Temples first, then a halo of short regrowth you can't lay down. It's temporary — but the scalp still needs care while it's happening.

Postpartum guide
02

After the braids

Six to ten weeks under tension, then take-down day — the one window you can actually see your scalp. Bumps along the part. Edges that didn't come back from the last install.

03

After the hard year

Grief. Divorce. Caregiving. A diagnosis. Hair loss with an emotional cause is diffuse, slow, and rarely talked about — and it's exactly where this brand started.

Carol's story
04

Her edges, too

Tight ponytails, beads, and bedtime friction move a seven-year-old's hairline faster than anyone warns you. One bottle, gentle enough for the whole house.

Built for the scalp, not just the strand

★★★★★ 2 verified reviews

Most hair oils sit on top of the hair and make it shine. This one is thin enough to reach the part — which is where the work actually happens. Rice gram and lentil proteins reinforce the fiber, castor oil holds the hairline, aloe calms a scalp that's been under tension, and peppermint gives you the cooling cue that keeps you consistent.

No sulfates, no parabens, no mineral oil, no petrolatum. Gentle enough to use on a child's hairline — which is the honest proof that it's gentle enough for a postpartum or freshly-braided scalp.

How to Use

How often, and how much

The single most common reason a scalp oil "doesn't work" is that it was used on the hair instead of the scalp, or used twice and abandoned. Find your row and stay with it.

Your situationHow oftenHow muchWhat to expect

How often and how much to apply, by hair type

For external use only. Patch test on the inner arm 24 hours before first use. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children; adult application only for children under 12. Not recommended for use on infants. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a physician's care, consult your healthcare provider before use.

Brock Essentials Infused Shampoo, 8 oz amber pump bottle with coconuts
Step 1 · Cleanse · 8 oz

A wash that doesn't undo the work

Enriched with pure coconut milk, peppermint and rosemary, this creamy formula gently cleanses while replenishing moisture from root to tip. It's infused with our signature serum blend, so the wash step isn't a reset button — it's part of the routine.

Wet the hair thoroughly, work a quarter-sized amount into the scalp with fingertips, and rinse. Coming out of a long install? Wash twice — the first lifts buildup, the second actually cleans.

Detangling is scalp care too

Every knot you rip through is tension on a follicle. The Leave-In hydrates and slips, so the comb moves instead of pulling — which matters most on the two days that damage hair fastest: wash day and take-down day.

Vitamin E, aloe vera, biotin and coconut. On damp hair, mid-shaft to ends — never on the scalp, that's the serum's job.

The Ritual

The 90-Day Journal

Scalp care is slow and that is exactly why most people quit at week three. So we don't sell you a bottle — we sell you a protocol, with a dated photo card in the box and a check-in at every milestone.

Day 0

Take three photos before you open the bottle: front hairline, center part, and the spot that bothers you most. Same light, no filter. This is the hardest step and the one that matters.

Week 4

The scalp feels different before it looks different. Less tightness, less flaking, less of that itch under a style. Photograph again.

Week 8

Breakage slows. Your part and edges start holding moisture between wash days. Most people notice texture at the root before length.

Day 90

Compare Day 0 to today — not to memory. Send it in and we'll send your next bottle free. That's the 90-Day Club.

Individual results vary and are not typical. Hair and scalp respond differently depending on genetics, health, medication, styling practices and consistency of use. Brock Essentials is a cosmetic product and is not intended to treat any medical condition. Persistent, sudden, or patchy hair loss should be evaluated by a board-certified dermatologist.

Real Customers

What consistency looks like

Edges and the hairline are the slowest area on the head to change — which is exactly why we built the system around ninety days instead of thirty.

Brock Essentials customer hairline, photographed over her own routine

Customer photo, shared with permission. Used alongside her own hair care routine and changes to her protective styling.

Why we photograph at day 0

Nobody can remember what their hairline looked like three months ago. Memory is the worst possible measuring instrument, and it is the reason most people quit a scalp routine convinced nothing happened.

So every 90-Day Set ships with a dated photo card. Three photos before you open the bottle — front hairline, centre part, and the spot that bothers you most. Then again at day 30, 60 and 90, in the same light.

Send us your day 90 and your next bottle is free. That's the 90-Day Club, and it's how this section fills up.

About this photo. Results not typical. Individual results vary and depend on genetics, health, medication, styling practices and consistency of use. This customer used Brock Essentials alongside her own routine and changes to how she wore her hair — the photograph shows her individual experience, not a promise of results. Brock Essentials is a cosmetic that conditions the scalp and helps strengthen the hair you have. It is not a drug, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, including hair loss. Sudden, patchy or painful hair loss should be evaluated by a board-certified dermatologist.

Created From Loss

“I lost my hair before I ever sold a drop of this. It came after a season of extreme stress and grief — the kind that doesn't announce itself in your body until months later.

I tried what was on the shelf. Most of it was heavy, most of it was greasy, and almost none of it was made with my scalp in mind. So I started reading, and then I started mixing.

My first client was my grandmother. She didn't have a choice about what happened to her hair, and for a while there, neither did I. This brand exists to help others reclaim what stress tried to take from them — with care, patience, and purpose.”

The Formula

Every ingredient, and why it's in there

As listed on the Follicle Stimulator label: Rice Gram, Lentil, Geranium, Rosehip, Peppermint, Aloe Barbadensis, Leaf Extract, Almond Oil, Sunflower, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia, Biotin, Ricinus Communis, Frankincense.

Rice Gram & Lentil

Plant proteins and amino acids that coat and reinforce weakened strands. Protein is what a chemically-processed or heat-stressed strand is actually missing.

Ricinus Communis (Castor Oil)

The traditional edge oil, and for good reason — thick, occlusive, and it stays where you put it. Cut here with lighter oils so it conditions the hairline without the tackiness castor is known for.

Almond Oil & Sunflower

The carrier base. Two light emollients with a small molecular profile, so the serum softens without sitting on the part as residue.

Aloe Barbadensis

Cooling, humectant, and genuinely soothing on a scalp that has been under tension for six weeks.

Peppermint

Cools on contact. The tingle is the sensory cue that keeps people using a scalp product past week two, which is the real reason most routines fail.

Rosehip & Geranium

A dry-feeling oil for scalp comfort, plus a balancing botanical traditionally used on oily and combination scalps.

Biotin (Vitamin B7)

A conditioning agent that helps reinforce the hair fiber, which reduces the mid-shaft breakage that makes hair read as thinner than it is.

Frankincense

A resin oil with a warm, grounding scent. Part of what makes the serum smell like a ritual rather than a treatment.

Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot)

Bright citrus top note. Please note: bergamot can increase sensitivity to sunlight. Apply at night where you can, and keep a treated scalp out of direct sun for 12 hours after use.

Note: The complete INCI ingredient declaration in descending order of concentration appears on the product label, as required under the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act. Descriptions above explain each ingredient's cosmetic function and are not claims of therapeutic effect.

Family-Safe

What "gentle enough for your daughter" actually means

Diluted, not neat

Peppermint and other essential oils are present at cosmetic dilution in a carrier base — never applied undiluted. Concentration is the entire safety question with essential oils, and it's the one most brands don't answer.

No hormone-adjacent actives

No DHT-blocking botanicals, no minoxidil, no finasteride, no caffeine loading. This is a conditioning scalp oil — which is exactly why a nursing mother and a seven-year-old can both use it.

The honest limits

Ages 3 and up, applied by an adult, patch tested first. Not for infants, not for the face, eyes or broken skin. Contains sweet almond oil — skip it if anyone in your house has a nut allergy. Contains bergamot, which can increase sun sensitivity.

Questions, Answered Straight

FAQ

How long before I see anything?

Scalp condition changes before appearance does. Most people notice less tightness, less flaking and less itch in the first three to four weeks. Changes in how the hair looks take longer, which is why we structure everything around ninety days.

Individual results vary and are not typical.

Is this safe for my child?

Yes, for ages 3 and up, applied by an adult, after a patch test. The formula uses essential oils at cosmetic dilution rather than neat, and contains no hormone-adjacent actives.

It contains sweet almond oil — do not use if anyone in your household has a tree nut allergy. Not for infants. Not for the face or eyes.

Can I use it while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Many of our customers do, but we are not in a position to give you medical clearance and we won't pretend otherwise. Please check the ingredient list with your OB or midwife before use. That is the honest answer.

Will it make my scalp greasy under braids?

No, if you use the right amount. This is a thin serum, not a grease. Apply directly to the part with the nozzle — a few drops per section, not a saturation. If your scalp feels wet afterward you used too much.

Does it work on locs, sew-ins and wigs?

Yes. Apply to the exposed scalp along the parts two to three times a week. For wig wearers, apply at night after the unit comes off, so it has time to absorb before the cap goes back on.

Does this regrow hair?

No. Brock Essentials is a cosmetic product. It conditions the scalp and strengthens the hair you have, which reduces breakage and improves how full your hair looks. It is not a drug and is not intended to treat hair loss.

If you are experiencing sudden, patchy, or rapidly progressing hair loss, please see a board-certified dermatologist. That is not a formality — early treatment genuinely matters with scarring alopecias.
